Miss World 2010, Alexandria Mills of the United
States and her entourage paid a courtesy call on chief secretary of
the Tobago House of Assembly Orville London at his office at Calder
Hall yesterday. She was accompanied by first runner-up Miss World (Africa)
Emma Wareus, of Botswana; Trinidad and Tobago Miss World
representative at the 2010 pageant, Davia Chambers; and Julia Morley,
co-chair of the pageant.
Welcoming the entourage, London said he
appreciated the fact they were in Tobago. He hoped the ensuing
discussions would be fruitful and positive. Morely, speaking on
behalf of the team, said, based on future talks, the country would
be able to invite 120 nations to witness and enjoy Tobago’s charm.
She added: “We do love Tobago. I do from many years of being here. I
think at the moment it’s one of the world’s best kept secrets.”
