Saturday 14 November	Arrival of the Miss World contestants at OR Tambo International Airport.
Monday 16 November	Contestants travel to the Eastern Cape for the Miss World Sports Final  which is one of the official fast track events, hosted by Eastern Cape Tourism
Friday 20 November	Today the contestants visit  the famous Lion Park for a game drive, watch the feeding of the lion cubs in the enclosure , watch the giraffes and the cheetahs.
Saturday 21 November	The contestants visit Soweto. They will attend the official opening of  Orlando Park and  visit the Hector Pieterson Museum for a wreath laying ceremony and a guided tour of the museum. The contestants will visit the Nelson Mandela Museum in the famous Vilakazi Street, the only street in the world where two Nobel Peace Laureates lived, the other being Arch Bishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. In the afternoon they will be entertained by local dancers and performers.
Sunday 22 November	On this day  the contestants participate in the Miss World Talent Show, a competition aimed at demonstrating  other special talents they have. This event is a Miss World Fast Track Event.
Monday 23 November	The contestants visit Durban for the Miss Beach Beauty Show on Wednesday, 25 November, another Fast Rack Event.
Thursday 26 November	Back in Joburg, the contestants start their preparations for the Miss World Fashion event.
Saturday 28 November	Today is the Miss World Fashion Final at the Turbine Hall in Newtown, Johannesburg.
Sunday 29 November	The contestants visit the Legends Golf and Safari Lodge for 2 days.
Tuesday 1 December	The contestants depart for Cape Town by chartered flight and the world-famous Blue Train to be hosted at the equally famous Spier Hotel  and wine estate near Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. They will also take a tour of Cape Town  attend the FIFA Draw in Cape Town
Saturday 5 December	Back in Joburg, the contestants start with the rehearsals  for the Final Miss World  Pageant.
Sunday, 6th December	Today the contestants visit Soccer City Stadium which will host both the opening ceremony and the final match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and start their preparations for the final  Miss World Pageant.
Saturday 12 December	Miss World 2009 LIVE Final Pageant at the well-known Gallagher  Estate
Sunday, 13 December	Contestants depart.
