Reigning Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete from Mexico is expected to be present at the venue. 'See you': Ximena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe in 2010, making her the second Mexican delegate to win the title, after Lupita Jones in 1991 . "We are organising a marathon for celebrating the girl child. It will be hosted in the university's north campus. It will be a 10 km marathon and will be flagged off by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. Around five thousand youths are expected to participate. Celebrities like boxers Akhil Kumar and Vijender Singh as well as fashion designer Sanjana Jon will be partaking in the event. We have a DJ session before the main event starts. Rewards of Rs 20000, 10000 and 5000 along with trophies and certificates will be distributed amongst the top three finishers," said Akshay Kumar, Jt Secretary, Delhi University Students' Association (DUSU). The event is expected to witness the presence of several well-known political leaders including Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit, MoS for IT and Telecommunications Sachin Pilot, Delhi assembly speaker Yoganand Shastri and Congress MLA Anil Chaudhary.
